Sweat-wicking shorts and top. Chaco sandals. Bathing suit underneath on days we visit a park with water rides. LOTS of sunblock. If I'm not wearing the aforementioned clothes, I'm wearing a tiny sundress with flip flops. It kills me to see people wearing long pants. It's freaking Florida! In June! I let my hair dry naturally in the morning, and it usually ends up in a ponytail by the time we get on the bus to the parks. I only end up using sunscreen on my face and go sans make-up the entire time. I'm just not a pretty sweat-er, and make-up running down my face would be even less attractive.
Obvious Tips for Dealing with the Heat
1) Start your day early (like 8 am early). You'll see more in the parks before the mob of people get there, and you'll enjoy the
2) Purchase a Camelbak or other hydration type backpack to carry into the parks. Fill it up for free with ice from the resorts/hotels and water. Ta da! You won't buy a bottle of $3 water every 30 minutes. Just put your camera in another bag. The coolness of the hydration bladder (yes that's what it is called) will cause your camera to fog up every time you pull it out in the heat to take a picture.
3) Don't wear jeans. Wear natural and/or sweat-wicking fabrics. And if it's cool when you start your walk to the bus/car, for the love of all that is holy, don't dress for that temperature. It's going to get hotter!!!! It's Florida. Duh.
4) Take a break for lunch and head back to the resort (if your're staying on property) for lunch, rest and a dip in the pool. If you can't leave the park, find a shady spot or restaurant to eat and relax in. Trust me. It will be worth it.
5)
Enough said.
Have a magical day!

Hey, I'm just getting around to returning comments on posts from vacation...
Ava's headband...I'm not sure what kind it was....it came from Walmart and was in the headband section next to the disney princess headbands! :) I did put a couple of those snap clips on the side of her head, too, and that seemed to help hold the band in place so it didn't slide.
